Shari Saiki Discusses the Benefits of Hiring an Interior Designer and Satisfying Clients
What are the chief benefits of hiring an interior designer, versus setting out to decorate one’s home without any professional help? (What makes employing a design expert worth it?)
Interior designers open new worlds. We have the ability to magnify or sharpen a homeowner's design vision and add the detail that creates a polished, professional look. Our daily exposure to new products and materials creates more design possibilities. Our working experience with architects, contractors, and suppliers help create a seamless relationship between interior and exterior design.
Hypothetically, if one of your clients was immensely dissatisfied with a project’s end result (even though your design met his or her needs and desires to a tee), what would be your approach to quelling his or her discontent?
Although we met the client's requirements, I would try to find a solution to satisfy my client. Design is undertaken with a passion to create an experience or mood in a space. When you invest this much in a project, it's not always just about the financial gain for your business, but about the happiness you create for your client.
