1) Tell us about any new developments or business establishments in your market that you think might help attract potential buyers.

Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains against the banks of the Tennessee River, Knoxville Tennessee offers the perfect combination of Southern hospitality and the luxuries of modern developments. Knoxville is rich in natural beauty, history, diversity and culture. Knoxville was included in CNN Money Magazine’s “Best Places to Live” in 2011. In addition to fine dining, shopping and entertainment, visitors and residents alike have access to the best Knoxville Luxury Homes. Knoxville has much to offer its residents, including many wonderful employment opportunities. In fact, it is considered to be one of the top U.S. cities ranked for job growth.

2) Name the top two online or social media outlets you use most frequently when a new property becomes active. How do you use these sites to your advantage when advertising your listing?

Marketing properties through online and social media is a large part of our marketing plan. I utilize the expertise of online marketing experts and have a full time online marketing assistant in my office. Over the years we have been relying on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter to help in the promotion of our properties and we see a large amount of activity from both each month. Social media marketing for luxury real estate is important simply because people can so easily share an interesting home with friends and family and all of the information is right at their fingertips.

3) With springtime now approaching, are there certain properties you expect to get more attention than others? How can sellers make their properties more marketable in the spring?

In East Tennessee, springtime always brings a flurry of activity to the luxury home market. The best time to begin showing a home in East Tennessee is when everything turns green again and the weather starts to warm up. The simple advice that I give my home sellers is to start by cleaning up the exterior and the grounds of the property. If the home doesn't look like it has been perfectly manicured, we're probably not going to be super successful in selling the home. Home buyers don't want to think about home maintenance; they just want it all done.
