Sotheby’s has listed the former Hamptons abode of author Truman Capote, which is now owned by abstract-expressionist painter Ross Bleckner. The four-acre Sagaponack estate has been listed for $15 million. Capote, who penned the novels In Cold Blood and Breakfast at Tiffany’s, hobnobbed with New York’s social elite at the home for the last two decades of his life. When Capote passed away in 1984, the property was bequeathed to his partner, Jack Dunphy. It was not until 1992 that the property fell into the hands of Bleckner, who purchased the estate for $800,000 before adding a 1,900 square-foot artist’s studio, a two-bedroom guesthouse, an outdoor pool and a garage.
