Knoll and Savoir Collaborate for the Christopher Reeve Foundation

High-end fabric company Knoll Luxe have teamed up with the makers of the world’s most luxurious bed, Savoir Beds. Savoir’s luxury beds are featured in the most exclusive homes and hotels, including London’s Savoy and the newly renovated Peninsula Suite at the Peninsula Hotel New York. The two companies have come together to create the an exclusive line of specialty beds to benefit the Christopher Reeve Foundation. The uber-luxe result of this collaboration will be available at Savoir’s New York flagship location in SoHo.

Knoll and Savoir will also host an auction event to benefit the Christopher Reeve Foundation in New York on November 15. The foundation was established in memory of the late actor Christopher Reeve, famous for his iconic role as Superman. The actor suffered a debilitating spinal cord injury, and dedicated his life to finding a cure for such injuries. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the auction will go to support the foundation.

Knoll Luxe creative director Dorothy Cosonas designed a special Swarovski-encrusted headboard for the bed that will be up for auction. Cosonas spoke to the personal meaning of the headboard’s motif, “Dream for the Sky”. “This project is personal. My 24 year-old daughter became paralyzed suddenly from a rare autoimmune disease. The Reeve Foundation is a place that creates hope.”
