Like most cities, living in Los Angeles can get to feeling claustrophobic. There’s tons of smog, traffic that never ends, and winding roads leading everywhere but where you’re going. Finding a home to relax in within the City of Angels feels harder and harder every day. Luckily though, there is respite every so often for those looking to relax in a different, less concrete jungle.

107 North Wilton Place in Hancock Park is an oasis away from the city. Hidden from the world outside by a yard full of plants, cacti, fauna, and palm trees, this bungalow styled home has been newly renovated and hit the market this week for $1.25 million.

“This home is a true sanctuary, with an incredible display of light and shadows throughout the day that will transport you to a state of total tranquility,” says Katie Crain, the Nourmand & Associates agent listing the property. “The architecture’s seamless flow lends itself to easy living and entertaining, with three magical outdoor spaces designed by Terremoto Landscape.”

In addition to a lush garden of greenery, the home also features new cork floors, clerestory windows, exposed wood ceilings, a double sided brick wood burning fireplace that opens to the living and dining rooms, as well as custom designed kitchen fixtures like slate countertops Heath ceramic tile, and custom walnut cabinets. The home’s original frame from 1953 is still in tact with the vintage vibe of LA’s retro vibe poking through the trees and giving people a glimpse into the Hollywood of yesteryear.
