NBA Finals: Haute Residence Style

This year's NBA Finals have everything a basketball fan appreciates in a series: recent history, bitter rivalries, the league's best players, and a surprise every game.

The Warriors are the heavily favored team, but the Cav's Lebron James has ways of demonstrating why he is the best player on either team. One mistake by any player at the wrong time and the championship odds can swing the other way. Welcome to the NBA's new golden age.

With so much analysis already taking place regarding what is happening on the court, here is a different match-up to consider. How do the Warriors and Cavaliers key players' homes stack up against each other? What luxury house feature does each baller score with?

Steph Curry's Backyard

Steph Curry is a two-time league MVP who is known for his deadly accurate 3-point shot. When he's not sinking opponents with one of the greatest shots of all time, he probably finds time to kick back on the luxurious grounds of his East Bay, Alamo mansion home.

The inside of the house is impressive enough, but this property sits on a 1.5-acre footprint, subdivided into a large grass lawn, outdoor kitchen with serving area, huge infinity edge pool, and a manicured garden befitting a royal palace.

Klay Thompson's Ocean View

As Steph Curry's teammate, Klay Thompson is the other half of the long-distance shooting duo known as the "splash brothers." Maybe that nickname inspired Klay to buy his splashy ocean-side Dana Point pad.

The Spanish-style ranch compliments the Capo Beach area handsomely. And Klay might have just cornered the market on the best house to play pool, beside a pool while on a 150-foot bluff overlooking the Pacific.

Kevin Love's Kitchen

Kevin love sticks to a disciplined diet of healthy high-protein foods. He also enjoys entertaining. He hosted the Cavaliers entire team at his home for a dance party in 2016.

With Kevin's love of good food and friends, it follows that he would have a modern chef's kitchen outfitted for a professional player.

Kevin Durant's Smart Technology

This past April, Kevin Durant purchased a $12.05 million, 5,136-square-foot multi-level oceanside Malibu property. The residence is a fully-automated smart home, where walls of glass can disappear to allow ocean breezes in. The lighting and surround sound can be adjusted to suit any mood in the massage area and exercise room, while a master bathroom "cove" can feel like a private island getaway with a few button presses on Kevin's phone.

Tristan Thompson's Gazebo

The most striking feature of Tristan Thompson's Brantenahl, OH house has to be the stone patio that leads to a gazebo overlooking Lake Erie. Tristen purchased the 5-bedroom home in 2015 for $1.1 million.

The home's classic colonial architecture has been tastefully modernized into an athlete's paradise with a three-car garage, tennis and basketball courts, and fully-outfitted workout room with large windows facing the lake.

Lebron James' European Fixtures

Lebron James Brentwood home

This is the second Brentwood property that Lebron James has owned, but his current one (located on one of LA's most prestigious streets that includes Jim Carrey's and Jennifer Garner's homes) is a 15,846-square-foot contemporary jewel with the finest furnishings available from around the globe.

A hundred-year old imported Sevillano olive trees line the private drive. The 14-foot high entry foyer has antique Spanish-marble floors. Herringbone-patterned, natural-colored French oak floors cover the great room that's anchored by an Italian Calacatta marble fireplace and wet bar.

King James can take in the LA view from his giant rooftop terrace or private ocean-side patio. If he chooses to stay in, he can bask in the comfort of his fully-soundproofed theater, 1,500-bottle wine cellar, or Casino-grade cigar lounge.

This mansion is a palace befitting the man many are calling the NBA's G.O.A.T.

All of these NBA All-Star's have worked hard to reach the game's highest level, and their gorgeous and unique homes are a reflection of the wins they have earned on the court.
