Editor's Note: Stefano was born and raised in Miami, FL, and is the Vice President of his family’s Design-Build company, Balli Group. He is responsible for Development Opportunities, Construction Management, and Sales. He earned dual Bachelor of Business Administration Degrees from Florida International University, specializing in Finance and Real Estate. He also holds a Florida Real Estate Sales Associate license. Stefano shares his father’s passion for real estate development and values the importance of the process. How did you get into real estate?

I grew up around real estate and construction. My Father being an architect and builder and my Mother a broker at the time, I would spend every Sunday at open houses or scouring the neighborhoods looking at different properties, and my summers were spent on the construction sites or in my Father's office. I like to say it's in my blood. My upbringing created a strong passion for real estate over the years, specifically for architecturally significant properties. I believe my experience in design and construction has enabled me to stand out in the competitive industry.

 What trends have you seen in South Florida real estate in the past few months?

I think we've seen a significant flocking to South Florida. People are looking for larger spaces, quality construction, thoughtful and unique design, open floor plans, along with at-home amenities such as gyms, offices, and detached guest houses. I think the recent experience has created an entirely new meaning to what "Home" really is. The homes I've had the pleasure of selling create an experience for my clients - they have everything they need at home. 

What has been one of your favorite homes to represent the seller and/or buyer and why?

Hammock House was a very special project for me in representing our Firm. The home was thoughtfully designed around a natural hammock and its surrounding 80+ oak trees. We were able to maximize the lot's usable area and simultaneously maintain its strong connection to nature, preserving most of the vegetation on the property. The home is sprawled on just under an acre and roughly 12,000SF.
