From the Cocaine Cowboys to Scarface, Miami is known to have had an iconic decade in the 1980s. The hair was large, the money even larger, and the club scene in Miami was a mecca for fashion and fun. In honor of this historic period in the city, the legendary Biltmore Hotel threw a memorable celebration full of glitz and glamour.
Guests were encouraged to wear their finest 80's outfits and were advised to think more of Michelle Pfeifer from Scarface for inspiration instead of Cyndi Lauper with leg warmers. As guests entered the event, they were greeted with a full open bar with specialty-themed cocktails and every table included special 'party favors' in a clear baggie and fake money; reminiscent of the times. Outside on the back patio, there was a delicious buffet that helped fuel guests so they could dance the night away as the DJ played classic after classic for guests to boogie down to.
The luxe VIP section included bottle service, champagne, and even (fake) tigers! This exclusive area allowed guests to feel the opulence of the decade while lounging on a chaise and enjoying expensive bubbly.
The slinky clothes, Rolexes, cigarette boats, fast cars, and some notorious bad boys defined an era in Miami, and this fun-filled event at the Biltmore Hotel allowed the guests to enjoy the glory days one more time.
