For the environmentalist with a love of luxury, international real estate brokerage The Agency just announced its CEO Mauricio Umansky and Principal Santiago Arana will lead sales and marketing for the first ten exclusive residences coming aboard NJORD, the first superyacht in the world with a carbon-neutral engine. Its world-class craftsmanship and philanthropic mission make NJORD unlike any other vessel voyaging the seas. Completing the crew, Ocean Residences Development and MEYER WERFT developed the superyacht.

The ship’s inaugural residences are the epitome of oceanside opulence, ranging from 1,500 to 9,000 square feet and priced from $8.5M to $70M. With the option to choose from 15 custom floor plans, residences are guaranteed to find their perfect fit. Of course, no tropical oasis is complete without ocean views. Floor-to-ceiling windows and unobstructed private balconies grace each unit, reflecting the ocean’s lively movement inside. Gourmet kitchens are adorned with custom cabinetry by Studio Becker and fully integrated appliances by Gaggenau. With smart-home technology, personalized housekeeping, laundry service, florist, and tailoring services available to all residents, the seven seas have never been homier.

A vast selection of amenities aboard the NJORD makes it an all-encompassing retreat. Avid adventurers have access to a travel and excursion concierge, Eurocopter 160 with an onboard hangar, dive center, excursion lounge, four superyacht limo tenders, and two dive and fishing boats. After long days of sightseeing and thrill-seeking, relaxation awaits with six world-class restaurants and bars, The Chenot Spa and Wellness Center, a telescope space observatory, a kids club, a gourmet market and shops, an array of outdoor terraces, sundecked pools, a night club, a jazz lounge, and more. Perhaps the crowning jewel amongst these, the ship boasts a 10,000-bottle wine cellar.

In addition to its optimization for luxury, NJORD was constructed by engineers and architects with a sustainable mission in mind: to progress oceanographic studies that advance global marine research by integrating a number of special features aboard. NJORD includes a wet and dry oceanographic laboratory, multi-beam echo sounders with HD 3D mapping, an air and water sampling system and magnetometer, two submarines, ten exploration zodiacs, aerial drones, and a gyroscopically stabilized atmospheric observatory. As residents relax and play, scientists will make groundbreaking discoveries, all in the same place.

NJORD’s overwhelming size, extravagant interiors, and an array of amenities are enough to set it apart from all other luxury maritime residences, but these features are just the beginning. The ship sails into the future as a forerunner in sustainability and research, meaning residents will enjoy the high life as well as a better tomorrow.
