Now, the excitement grows as Location Ventures and Marriott International’s EDITION Hotels launch construction for the EDITION Residences Fort Lauderdale, the first luxury branded residences to grace the city’s Intracoastal waterway.
On February 9, an exclusive groundbreaking affair was held in celebration of the future oasis, and the festivities gave a sneak peek at what’s to come. Locations Ventures, Marriott representatives, city officials, development partners, and friends came together at the property’s coveted address of 551 Bayshore Drive near North Beach Village in Fort Lauderdale for the eminent afternoon.

EDITION brought its taste for fusing sophistication and culturally-inspired creativity with individually sized champagne bottles for each guest to pop during the ceremony, where they savored cocktails and canapés. The excitement of the groundbreaking was punctuated as the sun set over the waterway, highlighting the majestic views future homeowners will enjoy.
Honorary guests of the event included Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis and Commissioner Steve Glassman, along with Sheila Farahpour, Vice President of Luxury and Mixed-Use Development at Marriott International, and Jay Parker, CEO of Douglas Elliman Florida.

Fort Lauderdale has emerged as a choice destination even next to its famed neighbors, with an influx of residents coming for the natural beauty and staying for the high-end restaurants, luxury developments, and cultural atmosphere. EDITION now plans to raise the bar even higher in Fort Lauderdale.
