Mandarin Oriental has unveiled plans to oversee the management of a new hotel and branded residences in the Brickell Key area of Miami. Expected to open its doors in 2030, the project is a collaboration with Swire Properties, the partner behind the current Mandarin Oriental in Miami. Situated within the One Island Drive development, comprising interconnected towers, the new property will be positioned on a scenic waterfront site spanning 3.5 acres.
The forthcoming Mandarin Oriental, Miami will feature 151 guestrooms, 60 of which will be suites, in addition to 61 private Residences and 28 hotel Residences, all boasting picturesque views of the ocean and the city. The external architecture will be crafted by Kohn Pederson Fox, while Parisian designer Laura Gonzales is responsible for the interior design. The landscape architecture will be led by Thai firm Shma. The complex will also encompass various dining venues, bars, flexible event spaces, and a signature spa.
Alongside the hotel, a separate tower will house 220 Residences at Mandarin Oriental, including two penthouses, designed by Parisian designer Tristan Auer. These residences will also fall under the management of Mandarin Oriental, merging the convenience of a private home with the exceptional amenities and renowned service associated with the brand.

The strategic location of Brickell Key, a 44-acre island developed by Swire, adds to the allure of the project. Miami's vibrant cultural scene and distinctive architecture, such as the Art Deco Historic District in South Beach, contribute to the area's appeal. This upcoming establishment aims to set a new benchmark for luxurious living and hospitality in the city.
