Here, Laura de la Torre talks with Haute Residence about why she started her own team where Mexican real estate is headed.

Why did you decide to start Team Laura de la Torre?

I decided to start Team Laura de la Torre from my heart and with a passion for service because of the enormous personal success that I was having. I needed to cover more territory with new clients and could not do so by myself. I love teaching, and through my team, I am helping this family grow from service and commitment. I give them my time and my knowledge, and they give me back commitment and enormous feedback of success in their learning skills. It is a family inside Mexico Sotheby’s International Realty. With my team, I feel we are creating an impact in people’s lives, we are growing, and most importantly, we share the basic principles of working from the heart, thinking about the service, and always thinking about the client.

What makes this team different?

Rodolfo Bocanegra: When I received Laura’s invitation to join her team, it was a no-brainer for me. I admire her preciseness, devotion to everything she does for our clients, and willingness to go the extra mile. Also, Maricruz has been an amazing partner, and we all share the same values, which makes this team unique.

Maricruz Madrigal: The most important part and the reason that I decided to join the team is that our goals aligned. The way we give everything to our clients and give the best of us to them are some of the same characteristics I share with her, and in these, we go in the same direction.

Where do you see the real estate market going in Mexico in 2024?

Nearshoring, the trend of companies leaving Asia and installing in México, has continued to grow, therefore the economic ambiance in the country is that of a lot of confidence from investors. Also, we’ve seen many foreigners, mainly from the US, Canada, and Europe, seeking a pied-à-terre in Mexico City. Condesa and Roma are very hot, and they continue to develop.

What advice do you have for those looking to buy or sell in Mexico?

To check in with us! We understand our clients, and we have the best selection. It is essential to analyze what your needs and wants are and to get to know the areas so that we can select the best property that fulfills your interests, tastes, and desires. In the case of selling, it is important to have all of the proper advice, and we can help you with that. Also, to be very certain that the documentation of each property is in place, with their taxes up to date.
