Michael Douglas, best known for his role in ‘Wall Street’ and his wife, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, have recently become “empty-nesters” and have decided to put their 11,600 square-foot mansion up for sale.
The four-story house, better known as Longmeadow, was built in 1929 and exudes architectural characteristics similar to those of colonial-style homes with a modern and comforting flare, given the remodeling that has been done on the interior. It is located on a 12-acre property in Irvington, NY -- almost an hour north of Manhattan and sits upon the banks of the Hudson River.
Zeta-Jones purchased the property in 2019 with hopes of providing a space for her and her family to create lifelong memories, and five years later she has expressed that the estate has done all that and more. In addition to the eight bedrooms and 11.5 baths, you can find fireplaces throughout the rooms, as well as a two-story library, a heated indoor pool and a gym.

The exterior of the home was built with bricks and stones, which can be seen beautifully from the large patio attached to the back of the house, which is just one of the many amazing features that can be found on the estate.
Douglas and Zeta-Jones have plans to fill their time by going abroad, specifically Bermuda and Europe, especially now that their children, Dylan and Carys, have left the nest.
