“This chair is a continuation of Roman and Williams’ exploration of vernacular archetypes. It is a bridge from the traditional to the modern. For the designers, the goal was to isolate the piece from the constraints of competing forms often seen in similar leather sling chair designs. With an eye towards simple geometry, refined details, and articulation, the Reader was born.
