From its 2022 launch to its amenity unveiling and more, The Village at Coral Gables has become one of the most highly anticipated residential developments in the city—not just for its alluring location but also for its balanced approach to luxury life. On July 5, MG Developer announced that it secured a $67.5M construction loan from Churchill Real Estate to build the residential concept. Now, this Coral Gables dream is becoming a reality with groundbreaking expected this July and completion expected by the second quarter of 2025.

The 48-residence collection, exclusively sold by One Sotheby’s International Realty, will feature Townhomes, Lofts, Villas, and Flats. And as a whole, the project will pay homage to two important cities—its alma mater Coral Gables and the picturesque Seville, Spain.

Along with design that reflects the aesthetic and lifestyle of Seville, The Village at Coral Gables will continue the legacy of city founder George Merrick and his vision for “The City Beautiful.” The coming enclave will be a portal into Coral Gables’ rich history, all the while incorporating modern-day comforts for the discerning buyer.

Bringing beauty to the Coral Gables community is nothing new for MG Developer—the firm is an avid supporter of the city’s Art in Public Places program and others. Continuing this beautification with The Village has been “...a true labor of love, from the initial planning phase to now,” for CEO Alirio Torrealba.

Surrounding canopy streets will complement the development’s Mediterranean Revival-Style architecture—designed by De La Guardia Victoria Architects & Urbanists after Merrick’s seven villages—as well as its lush gardens, courtyards, and fountains inspired by the alcoves in the Plaza de España.

Townhomes, lofts, villas, and flats will vary in style and size, from the sophisticated flats of two bedrooms with a study room and a balcony to the charming four-bedroom townhomes that range from 1,750 square feet to 3,100 square feet. Each oasis will be adorned with furnishings selected from Restoration Hardware.

Another extension of the balanced lifestyle offered by The Villages at Coral Gables is its surrounding canopy streets, which bring countryside serenity within walking distance of Downtown Coral Gables. The development is close to the new Plaza, South Florida’s most sought-after golf courses, the new Lowe’s Hotel, the Biltmore Hotel, cultural attractions, and some of the best dining spots in Miami.

If MG Developer’s other projects are any indication, The Village at Coral Gables is likely to sell out fast. Luckily, Torrealba and Sean Robertson of Churchill Real Estate share hopes of a continued partnership, meaning this development could be just one of many more harmonious communities for historic Coral Gables.

The Village at Coral Gables showroom is located at 2990 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Suite 101, and is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm, and Sundays from 12 pm to 4 pm.
