A Day In The Life Of Realtor Dante DiSabato Of Naples, Florida

What does it take to be one of the best Realtors in the high-end Naples, Fla., market? Dante DiSabato of William Raveis Real Estate has more than $200 million in sales for his career — and more than $35 million so far this year. The trick? There’s no trick. Just hard work and dedication. We asked the 32-year-old to walk us through a typical day in hopes of learning a bit more about his daily regimen.

5 — 7 AM

I’m awake at 4:45 — 5 a.m. everyday, ready to take on the world. I’ve done it since I was a kid. I’m pumped up to get my day started early. They say the early bird gets the worm, and honestly the Naples real estate market is one with a crowded field of agents all vying for listings and buyers. And with literally thousands of registered active Realtors in the Southwest Florida region, I know I have to stay ahead of the curve. It requires dedication, focus, and a work ethic, which I am grateful to have developed from my family and my education. So every morning I study the market just to see what’s become available that day. I want to know as much as possible for my customers. I’ll do some research as soon as I wake up. Then either go for a run or hit the gym. Staying fit is key to being able to keep up with the demands of the job.

7 — 9 AM

Most mornings I’ll drive around looking for new signage on the off chance an opportunity pops up. And you know what? Sometimes they do. Staying connected is everything. I am keenly aware of the real estate community on social media and the MLS, analyzing daily developments and marketing my own properties and listings actively. I know how crucial marketing is to my process. This isn’t a hobby for me. This is full-time, 24/7, 150 percent, all day, all the time.

9 AM — 12 PM

By this time I’m often out for scheduled showings. I love spending time with my clients and showing them the handpicked properties I know are right for their specific needs. You really get to know people when you drive around together spending time talking, laughing, and even…shopping. Hey, sometimes people need to grab stuff while we’re out and I’m happy to oblige. If clients are new or new-ish to the area, I enjoy educating them on location, on land value, on the Naples lifestyle. Many are new to the area — and I want them to have the lifestyle they deserve.

12 — 2 PM

Showing my clients the Naples lifestyle and hosting them throughout their journey is one of my favorite parts of the work. Clients rely on me for suggestions on dining, golf, shopping, leisure activities, and concierge services to ensure their transition to Naples is pleasurable. We might grab lunch at one of the country clubs, such as the stunning Grey Oaks C.C., or one of Naples many heralded restaurants near the beach. It’s great to grab a bite to eat, and talk, laugh, and discuss the market.

2 — 5 PM

It’s back to showing properties. Several of my listings are actually properties my development company has produced. Right now we are building a gorgeous 5,896-square-foot spec home just two houses from the beach and two blocks from the shops and restaurants of Naples’ famed 5th Ave. S. But my main goal is to find the perfect property for my customers, which includes any listing that is currently — or about to be — available. And once they’ve found that perfect home, I’m still by their side, connecting them to area experts who can help guide them through the process of making a house a home: designers, furniture sales people, tradespeople, etc.

Whether it’s out on the water showing customers some of Naples most beautiful homes, or just taking time to appreciate new friends with a sunset cruise, at the end of the day, it’s about celebrating life’s special moments.

You know, selling residential real estate in Naples really is my dream job. I love it because it’s fun and it’s different every day. And I’m lucky enough to say that I’m living my dream. So either I need to get out of the house more, or I need to get even more people into the house of their dreams.
