Alicia Keys and her Grammy Award-winning producer/rapper/DJ spouse Swizz Beatz (Kasseem Dean) purchased Lenny Kravitz’s place back in 2010, which was known for having been a very difficult piece of property to move in the New York City Soho community. After several years of trying to sell the duplex, Kravitz dropped the price from $19.5 million down to as low as $12.5 million, Keys and Swizz’s final purchase price rang up to a modest $12.75 million. The couple has now re-listed the duplex for $17.95 million, looking to make a tidy little profit.

The Listing shows the duplex penthouse measuring in at 6,167 square feet with a third level roof terrace. Monthly maintenance and common charges will run a modest $11,564 per month. The lower level of the chic and open penthouse includes an impressive gallery entrance with floating glass staircase and a pair of powder rooms, a high-glam solarium style formal dining room and a 600-plus-square-foot living room with fireplace and a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that show off the city-view terrace.

The second floor houses a master suite with huge windows, massive sky lights, a private balcony, along with several standard closet/storage cabinets plus a fully-fitted dressing room. The bathroom consists of his-and-her spaces that open into a shared shower space and a wide, curving wall with matching sinks that bump up against the over-sized soaking tub. Finally, A glass enclosed exterior staircase ascends from the second floor to the roof-top terrace with built-in stainless steel barbecue center/outdoor kitchen and expansive city view.

It has not been said why the couple have decided to let go of the property, but speculation is that they need more space to accommodate their growing family.
