Days after Gwyneth Paltrow sold her New York City abode in Tribeca, the actress’ former townhome in the same neighborhood is asking $24,995,000, Luxury Listings reported.
Paltrow and her ex-husband Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin bought the apartment in 2005 for $7.9 million, then sold it in 2009 for $13.6 million. In 2005, they also paid $5.1 million for their just-sold plush pad at 416 Washington St.
Located on a quiet cobblestone street just two blocks from Duane Park, the five-story, exceptionally lit residence measures approximately 13,442 square feet, with seven bedrooms, an elevator, three wood-burning fireplaces, three laundry facilities, and plentiful skylights throughout, the listing states.
The townhouse is currently arranged as two condominium apartments, comprised of an approximately 8,442-square-foot, six-bedroom quadruplex, and an approximately 3,400-square-foot, mixed-use ground floor unit. Both will be sold vacant.
Designed by architectural firm D. & J. Jardine, the loft-style building at 13 Harrison St. was built in 1887 for liquor merchant Alexander Halliday for business purposes. Original, Neo-Greg architectural elements, including cast iron columns, end piers, wood-framed shop windows, and metal cornices, have been preserved. The Henry Heide Candy Company acquired the property in the mid-1900s to use a manufacturing site.
The listing at 13 Harrison St. is held by David Kornmeier of Brown Harris Stevens.
