Baha Mar is breaking boundaries as the largest single-phase luxury resort project in the Caribbean. The development will cost a total of roughly $3.5 billion, and it is scheduled to open its doors in Nassau in 2014 for an incredible luxury experience that merges elite global hospitality brands.
Geared towards adult travelers, the resort’s Bahamian architecture and incredible offerings will make it the newest must-have vacation destination. Who can argue with 3,000 feet of white sand beach?
Baha Mar is expected to give the area a massive economic boost once completed (adding a projected $1B to the economy in its first year and generating 12,000 jobs) and will contain: a Mondrian Hotel, a Baha Mar Casino and Hotel, a Grand Hyatt Hotel and a Rosewood Hotel.
The Baha Mar Casino & Hotel will boast 1,000 rooms and 105 suites, Mondrian at Baha Mar will offer 300 rooms and 107 private residences, Rosewood will offer 200 rooms and 87 private residences and Grand Hyatt will offer 700 rooms and 85 private villas.
Visitors will find Baha Mar to be the ultimate in entertainment, offering the Caribbean’s largest casino, two spas, luxury boutiques, 30+ restaurants, nightclubs and entertainment areas, 14 pools, a water park, convention spaces and more. Check out a recent photo of the project in progress below:
