Born in Poland and raised in South Africa, she joins the real estate industry with over 15 years of experience in marketing, studying hotel management and receiving honors in marketing for the hospitality industry. Having joined Provenance Properties in 2019, Ewe prides herself on her commitment to delivering a high level of client and customer service. Ewe has an intimate knowledge of the island, having moved to the Cayman Islands in 2015.
Here, she shares with Haute Residence about her real estate journey and what makes the Cayman Islands an amazing place to call home.
Why did you choose Real Estate?
I have been investing in real estate since I was 21 years old and have found it to be a great option for me personally as I understand bricks and mortar far better than stocks and shares. I also have a great love for interiors and design, so my career in real estate allows me to indulge in my two favorite hobbies and I get to call it work. Lucky me!
How did you get to where you are today?
I graduated from Hotel School with Honors in Marketing, an experience that paved the way for my understanding of customer service and the concept of “The Customer is King / Queen". After that, my career in TV advertising as a Sales Director taught me about consumer psychology and behavior, and I had an opportunity to work on some of the world’s best-known consumer goods brands. I then moved to the tech industry as a marketing director, managing daily operations, which was an experience outside of my comfort zone that taught me a great deal about digital marketing, analyzing data, and user behavior and trends. This role also taught me the importance of accounting for every marketing dollar spent and made Excel spreadsheets my new best friend. All of these previous roles, together with my love for design and architecture, have paved the way for my real estate career. However, my most important role is that of being a mom, and it has taught me a great deal of patience, which I admit I was short on in my earlier years.
I approach every transaction as if I were investing my child's future school fees. I help my clients evaluate every single acquisition with a great deal of detail, providing them with as much access to information as I possibly can so that they may make a well-informed and educated decision. I pride myself on consistently delivering the best possible service to all my clients.
What is one of your favorite client stories?
Every day has a new favorite client story. I have the best job in the world as I get to make people happy every single day.
What is your biggest success story to date?
The relocation project of a major blockchain company from Hong Kong to The Cayman Islands, which has so far been a three-year project, is by far my favorite story and also the greatest source of pride for me. This particular client, as well as many others, has allowed me to indulge in my great desire to give back to the community of the Cayman Islands, to whom I am eternally grateful for the immense privilege of being able to raise my daughter in Paradise.
What makes your market unique?
The Cayman Islands market is undoubtedly unique. We have a growing population with one of the highest GDPs per capita in the world, together with a finite amount of physical land, excellent quality of life, and a low crime rate. Cayman truly is a utopia and has a stable and very capable government with many public and private sector collaborations, setting the islands up for success today and also for future generations to come.
