In Southwest Florida, the drivable options are immeasurable. Drive only 50 minutes north to Tampa for many major sports and entertainment events, such as a Tampa Bay Buccaneers game. Go east an hour and a half to visit Disney World and Universal Studios as well as many more theme parks. South down the coast is the beautiful Sanibel Island, Naples, Marco Island, and the Everglades. Just three hours Southeast, you will hit Miami. The places you can drive to within a few hours are endless.

You can find anything, from major high-end franchises, to many amazing locally-owned restaurants. You can experience all types dining options.

Downtown is a great option and has all the entertainment you could wish for. Shopping, dining, nightlife, musicals, live entertainment, orchestras, comedy shows, frequent festivals, farmer markets, and much more. Siesta Key, which features one-of-a-kind beaches, hosts volleyball tournaments and art festivals.

The best spot to go shopping is...St Armand's Circle with high-end boutiques and The Mall at University Town Center with high-end franchise stores, such as Saks and Nordstrom.

There is simply no better place to play golf than in this area. There is Longboat Key Club; Lakewood Ranch Country Club, with four golf courses; Ritz Carlton Country Club, and The Concessions, which was designed by Jack Nicklaus. Additionally, Gator Creek, Founders Club, The Oaks, and Prestacia are just some of the local golf courses.
