For Sale in New York

The New York real estate market saw a bit of action recently when the ubiquitous Hamptonite, Billy Joel, put two of his Sagaponack oceanfront properties up for sale. The piano man originally bought the Hamptons properties for his bride, Katie Lee Joel, in 2007, but considering the upcoming dissolution of their nuptials, he has decided to list them for sale with Corcoran for $35 million. A four-bedroom mansion and a smaller beach bungalow sit on the side-by-side properties.

Meanwhile, former Viacom CFO Richard Bressler is selling his 850 Park duplex and moving to a four-bedroom condo at 170 East End Avenue, for $7.15 million.

And finally, Mariann Florio, the widow of former Condé Nast CEO Steve Florio, added a three-bedroom apartment to list of assets. Leo Tilman, the former exec from Bear Stearns is also the former owner of the New York apartment on East 73rd Street, which Florio bought for $1.65 million. She also owns a vacation home in Key Largo, Florida, though she is trying to sell it now for close to a year. The Florida home has been for sale since last October and is currently listed at $8.9 million.
