Not to spread rumors, but there’s a whisper going around that former Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester is parting ways with a love in her life—the Encino, California bachelorette pad she bought in 2011, three years before her nuptials to fellow actor Adam Brody. Like most Hollywood breakups, it's an amicable split. Just wait until the tabloids get ahold of this information.
On the eve of the young couple’s first anniversary, Meester is going all-in with Brody—asking $2.35 million for the four bedroom, 4.5-bathroom ranch near Ventura Boulevard (within walking distance of shops). Meester gained national notoriety when she starred in Gossip Girl from 2007 to 2012. In 2014 the multi-talented artist flexed her acting chops in Broadway's Of Mice and Men, and this year she debuts a new album (and tour) called "Heartstrings."
Meester, who left New York City to purchase the Los Angeles-area home, extensively remodeled the secluded residence to deliver the ultimate California indoor-outdoor lifestyle experience. The 2,847-square-foot “entertainer’s paradise” offers a lush gardens, a private, tiered backyard with saltwater pool, treetop views, a deck, a patio, a separate pool house with shower and changing room, a built-in barbecue, speakers, a bar, and a fridge.
If the entertaining carries inside, momentum isn’t lost with two fireplaces, smart home technology (security cameras along the gated property line and hidden ceiling speakers), high-end finishes, custom fixtures, refinished hardwood floors, and marble countertops and stainless steel appliances in the open-concept kitchen. Michael Morabito of Sotheby’s International Realty has the listing.
Surely the home will appeal to the next unattached movie star hotshot. Meanwhile Meester officially divorces herself from the last vestige of her single life, officially calling it quits on bachelorette days. Do tabloids print “happily ever after” gossip?
