Jean-Georges Vongerichten, the renowned chef known for redefining fine dining, is embarking on an exciting new venture—this time, it’s not another acclaimed restaurant. The celebrated culinary master is partnering with the real estate developer Terra to create his first residential building: the Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences. Located near Miami’s trendy Design District, this 48-story tower will house 329 condos, 27,500 square feet of ground-floor retail, and, as expected, an innovative culinary focus.

Vongerichten’s name has long been synonymous with exceptional dining experiences, but his newest endeavor marries his passion for food with an expansive lifestyle vision. The Miami Tropic Residences will offer homeowners two stunning interior design palettes, both crafted by the distinguished design firm Yabu Pushelberg. The “dawn” palette, with its Crema Marfil marble countertops, Champagne metal accents, and Italian beechwood cabinetry, evokes the freshness of a sunlit morning. The “dusk” palette, meanwhile, brings the richness of the evening, featuring Green Diabaz stone countertops, dark blue tile backsplashes, and dark-finished Italian wood cabinets. Both options place the kitchen at the heart of the home, reflecting Vongerichten's belief in the centrality of the culinary experience.

However, these homes are only the beginning. The true allure of Miami Tropic lies in its 41,000 square feet of amenities, tailored to elevate residents’ lifestyles. From an indoor-outdoor private dining room, a rooftop bar, and a chef’s kitchen to the exclusive ABC Kitchens—Vongerichten’s combination of his plant-forward abcV, Latin-inspired ABC Cocina, and farm-to-table ABC Kitchen—the building promises a culinary experience like no other. Beyond dining, the amenities cater to a broad spectrum of interests: a podcast recording studio for creatives, outdoor sports facilities for athletes, a resort-style pool with private cabanas, and even an outdoor theater.

“Miami Tropic represents a longtime dream of mine to open residences that blend my culinary passions with my interest in creating lifestyle spaces,” Vongerichten said. His partnership with developer David Martin and design visionary Yabu Pushelberg brings this vision to life, marking a new chapter in the chef’s storied career.

Vongerichten’s entry into residential real estate is a natural progression for a chef who has already expanded beyond the kitchen. His upcoming members' club, Chez Margaux in New York City, spans 18,000 square feet and offers a modern French restaurant, lounge, and library, further cementing his influence in the hospitality world. As one of the most powerful figures in fine dining, Vongerichten now seems poised to conquer the real estate world, offering a new kind of luxury living where lifestyle and culinary excellence are woven together seamlessly.

The Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences are more than just condos—they represent the culmination of a vision where living well means eating well, relaxing in style, and embracing a holistic lifestyle that only someone like Vongerichten could dream up.
