Brought to you by Armadillo, a top-tier Australian-American rug brand, is their newest Mojave collection, brought to life by Interior Stylist and Design Consultant Joseph Gardner.
With rugs that lie lightly on the Earth, the B-Corp brand is known for its timeless and sustainable rugs that combine top-tier style with eco-friendly practices. Armadillo’s brand-new Mojave collection revolves around products made entirely out of jute, a naturally elegant and durable fiber. The brand has researched and worked with jute for over a decade however, in the new ensemble, they have masterfully reimagined jute’s weaving process using Indo-Nepali hand-knotted Tibetan weave and is carefully handspun to create an unparalleled collection.

Upon the launch of Mojave, Armadillo welcomed Joseph Gardner’s help in shooting products in the beautifully restored farmhouse or Casolare in Puglia, Italy. Filled with character and history, the Casolare automatically drew the interior designer in as the perfect restoration project and backdrop for the array of rugs. Gardner and his team of local builders, craftsmen, and artisans worked tirelessly in Puglia to restore the Casolare, capitalizing on its original architecture and the masterpiece it once was.
“Puglia is so wild and raw, a truly authentic Southern Italian experience,” says Gardner, which is why it made it the perfect spot for the shoot to be held. “I love working with jute for its pared-back, casual nature. It’s not precious and feels raw and so good underfoot”

Gardner also mentions that when designing specific styles of homes, adding jute to contemporary spaces will help relax the modernity while in more primitive or coastal, it will also sit perfectly. The Mojave collection is available in Natural, Cashew, and Laurel, color options, creating a great neutral base for all kinds of interiors as the neutral tones and natural texture introduce a refined touch of nature and makes its pieces perfect for any home.
