Actor Kevin Costner has just listed his 10.25-acre beachfront estate in Montecito, California for $60 million, according to press materials.
Costner, known for his starring roles in Dances with Wolves and most recently, Hidden Figures, bought the property in Carpinteria for $28.5 million in 2006.
He had intended to build a new residence on the property, but the plans were not carried out. There is currently a two-bedroom house, according to the listing.
Overlooking the ocean on the edge of a bluff, the estate offers 360-degree panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Barbara mountains, with private access to 500 feet of ocean frontage on the secluded beach below.
It is located only minutes to the Santa Barbara airport, boutiques, and fine dining in the Montecito Village, and is about 80 miles north of Los Angeles.
“From the 360-degree panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Barbara mountains, to the 10 acres of beachfront land perfect for hiking or horseback riding, this property is perfect for nature lovers,” says listing agent Cathy Titus of Coldwell Banker Property Shoppe.
The listing at 2825 Padaro Lane is co-listed by Titus and Erik Wilde of Coldwell Banker Property Shoppe.
