Natalia Gutierrez, Principal and founder of LULO Design Studio, recently shared some of the driving forces behind her design firm and what she feels sets LULO apart from the rest.
Haute Design: What's your favorite part about interior design?
Natalia Gutierrez: My favorite part of interior design is the transformation we give to every home and how we change people’s lives. Our fun and creative team is always looking for the best design solutions.
HD: If you had to describe your design philosophy in three words, what would they be?
NG: We are listeners, we are organized, and we have a great attitude. Listening to our clients is the key. It is essential to know their expectations, their taste, and their needs. The organization is another important part of the process, without it, we wouldn’t be able to manage more than one project at the same time. Attitude is our priority - we treat our colleagues, workers, vendors, and clients with tremendous respect.

HD: What sets LULO Design Studio apart from other design firms?
NG: What sets us apart is the attention we offer our clients. At LULO Design Studio, we listen. We design spaces based on our clients' needs and personalities, we take our time to build an intimate connection, and we create a home or space that will always be stylish; but most importantly, we aim to create a home which feels like it's theirs.

HD: What has been the proudest moment since launching your own design firm?
NG: I started LULO Design Studio in 2011 and since then, I feel proud of every single step we have made - the team we have created, and every challenge we have faced so far. I get very excited to begin each new project and I always love to see our clients' reactions and faces. Finishing a successful project will always be my proudest moment.
