You could choose a small boat to get to and from Downtown to a dinner date on Longboat Key, or you could select a large boat to accommodate guests for a cruise on the open water. Joining Freedom Boat Club includes inshore and offshore training and certification so that you feel comfortable and safe using the boats in your membership, plus there are great social events to enjoy with club members in Sarasota and around the globe.
Beyond boating, there are a lot of ways to enjoy Sarasota’s waterways. Recreational activities on the water range from standup paddleboarding to kayak tours of our mangroves, canoeing, and more. There is a magnificent and massive public park – The Bay – extending along the gorgeous shoreline just north of our Downtown core. The Bay park offers free access for everyone to enjoy the shoreline and its scenic vistas of the water, with plenty of direct access points to Sarasota Bay.
