She was a philanthropist that served on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross for the Greater Miami area, Gables Estates Club, and the Keys Chapter. She was also a member of the Board of Trustees for Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart and served as a member of the Brickell Avenue Literary Society, and the University of Miami Dade County Women's Guild. Bastian also became part of the Director's Circle of the Lowe Art Museum and was an Honorary Member of Beaux Arts as well as many, many more programs and societies. After her passing earlier this year, her home is being sold for $45M.
