The 11-day festival, now in it’s twelfth year, highlights mid-century modern architecture, art, interior and landscape design, and vintage culture.

The goal of Modernism Week is to celebrate and foster appreciation of mid-century architecture and design, as well as contemporary thinking in these fields, by encouraging education, preservation, and sustainable modern living, as represented in Palm Springs.

A cultural phenomenon since its inception twelve years ago, the 2017 festival plans to exceed expectations. A variety of over 600 scheduled events include home tours, architectural walking, biking and famous double-decker bus tours, film screenings and informative lectures, garden tours, a vintage car and trailer exhibition, as well as nightly parties.

Attendees won’t leave Modernism Week empty handed. The Modernism Show and Sale at the Palm Springs Convention Center features 85 dealers offering furniture, decorative and fine arts representing design movements of the 20th century.

Modernism Week is a non-profit organization that provides scholarships to local Palm Springs students pursuing college education in the fields of architecture and design; as well as giving grants to local and state organizations for their efforts to preserve modernist architecture throughout the state of California.
