Why did you choose Real Estate?
We both have a strong desire to serve others. The inner sense of joy created when perfect matches are made for our clients is tremendously fulfilling to us both.
What was your journey to where you are today?
With a background in hospitality, Pat Allen was the previous owner of a Bed and Breakfast and cooking school in Highlands, NC, that was featured in Southern Living. Pat has always possessed a creative mind and the gift of making connections with others. Her prior business and negotiation skills in interior design and overall entrepreneurial spirit made Real Estate a natural match for her.
Julie Osborn has always possessed a desire to serve others. After attending the University of Georgia, Julie worked as an occupational therapist for Mayo Clinic. She then moved to Atlanta, where she launched her Real Estate career with a large independent luxury brand in the Buckhead area. She made the move to Highlands to team up with her mother in 2013.
What is your biggest success story to date?
After joining forces, we grew our small and independent brokerage of only two brokers to over ten brokers and were invited to join Leading Real Estate Companies of the World and Luxury Portfolio International after only a few years of working together due to our sales numbers and volume. Our motto was, "Not the Biggest, Just the Best." We won several LeadingRE awards after only one year of being in the network and became sought after by Allen Tate Realtors, the #1 Independent Firm in the Carolinas, thereafter. We joined Allen Tate Realtors in August of 2021.

What makes your market unique?
Highlands, NC, with an elevation of over 4,000 ft is an affluent town that is sought-after because of its cool mountain temperatures, high-end boutiques and shops, award-winning restaurants, coffee shops, and numerous festivals and concerts held during the "high season." The glorious mountain landscapes, waterfalls, hiking trails, and fly-fishing streams and rivers are an outdoor enthusiast's dream. Supporters of all things local, the plateau boasts a unique vibe that brings visitors back time and time again. Often referred to as, "Summer Camp for Adults," you will never tire of things to do in our quaint and upscale little town.
