Basketball star Hassan Whiteside is building up his real estate portfolio. He recently purchased Penthouse 27 of The Standard Residences in Midtown Miami for $1.2 million. The residences are set to be complete sometime in 2023.
The Standard Residences is the first of its kind and is already 70% pre-sold. There are 12 stories with 228 residences for a total of 34,000 square feet, and 10,000 square feet of the building is dedicated to ground floor retail. Residences can be anywhere from 432 to 965 square feet.
“The Standard is a pioneer in experiential hospitality with a one-of-a-kind vibe and style that resonates with me,” said Whiteside. “This property is a perfect pied-a-terre in an incredible location that can be rented out for as few as 30 days at a time – making it an attractive investment."
That is one of the major benefits of The Standard Residences. You can rent them out for as long or as little as you like, as long as it is for at least 30 days at a time, all year round. It also is in a secure neighborhood with easy access to the Design District, Wynwood, Downtown Miami, and the beaches.
Whiteside's rental has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Included in the home are finishes such as light wood plank tile flooring, a gourmet kitchen that boasts Italian cabinetry and top-of-the-line appliances, and a large bathroom with a rain shower and stone vanities.
In addition to the residences, the Standard Residences also offer sweat rooms that are state-of-the-art, a gym, infrared saunas, a restaurant, a sunset pool located on the roof, a karaoke bar and social lounge, a screening room, workspaces, an indoor pickle-ball court, yoga studios, and even a pet spa.
The outside of the building has architecture by Arquitectonica and the interior is designed by Urban Robot.
If that wasn't enough, there is even a dedicated concierge to help with programming and planning. Finally, any resident also gets a "Friends with Benefits" program that allows them to get preferred pricing at all The Standard hotels throughout the world.
To help with the transaction, Whiteside hired Ryan Kelly, who is currently with Douglas Elliman.
