Finding affordable housing can often prove challenging in the present real estate market. Locating residences in emerging or thriving communities can create an even greater challenge. Fortunately, the Latigo Group, headed by real estate developer Scott Whittaker, is attempting to address this growing concern by constructing reasonably priced apartments that offer luxury amenities and vibrant communities that emphasize comfort and wellness while contributing to local economies.
Meeting the Challenge
Whittaker has been a successful developer for many years and has been fortunate enough to oversee the construction of various apartment complexes across the nation. He understands that certain notable factors have rendered finding affordable housing in emerging regions an arduous task, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent economic recovery, sky-high interest rates, and the growing financial crisis that has plagued the country. In response, the Latigo Group’s mission has been to build quality but economical apartment complexes, emphasizing the importance of comfort, accessibility, community, and wellness.

Signature Projects Now Ready for Residents
Whittaker and his associated designated locations, such as Cape Coral and Kissimmee, Florida, are Latigo’s signature projects. One undertaking is the Hadley Complex, while the other is the Infield Apartments.
The Hadley Complex in Cape Coral is a newly constructed residential area that just opened up for lease. The location contains 444 modern apartments surrounded by amenities, including a wellness center, a fitness center, a resort-style pool with private cabanas, a putting green, a pickleball court, a state-of-the-art game room, a grab-and-go market, and a pet-friendly bark park and spa.
“The Hadley keeps you connected to blissful outdoor adventures, sunsets on the coast, and everyday conveniences,” Whittaker said.

The community is situated adjacent to exciting areas in nature like the Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve, the Sirenia Vista Park, and Yacht Club Community Park inside highly rated school districts, and close to shopping centers boasting major supermarket chains such as Aldi, Publix, Trader Joe’s, and Target.
Kissimmee’s Infield Apartments are a collection of 384 units that offer the choice of one-, two-, or three-bedroom abodes currently available for lease. Not only are these units built with new and modern gadgets and materials, but they are located inside a community that contains a luxurious meeting area furnished with a waterfront pool, a fitness center, a wellness room, a gaming lounge, cardio studio, restaurant facilities, outdoor kitchen and bar, lobby fireplace, locker rooms, and pet-friendly amenities. Moreover, the location sits right near major thoroughfares like the John Young Parkway.
“These developments provide a suite of amenities typically reserved for high-end complexes at accessible pricing, targeting residents seeking a balanced lifestyle,” Whittaker said.

In addition, Whittaker believes providing luxury accommodations at affordable prices sets his ventures apart from those of his competitors.
What Does the Future Hold?
Whittaker hopes his signature Central Florida ventures will be the beginning of an emerging trend in the real estate market. He and the Latigo group have designs to expand their vision throughout the United States.
“Looking ahead, Latigo group plans to expand nationwide, bringing their affordable, lifestyle-focused model to more communities and continually raising the bar for what residents can expect in emerging areas,” said Whittaker.
