Director and producer of Marvel movies Superman and Deadpool Richard Donner just sold his oceanfront Maui home for $16.5 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Designed by architect Thomas A. Kligerman, two-story residence, with a two-bedroom guesthouse, is situated on an acre on Keawakapu Beach, with 167 feet of water frontage. Nearby is a well-known snorkel and surf spot.
The two-bedroom, four-bathroom main house, built in 2004, is designed with vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, walls of glass, and verandas that extend to the outdoor space. There is also a great room, a sunroom, and a media/screening room within its 4,600 square feet.
The property was listed on the market approximately one year ago for $22 million, and more recently, the price was reduced to $19.9 million.
Other notable productions by Donner––who owns, with his wife Lauren Shuler, the production company the Donner’s Co.––include episodes of TV shows, Wanted: Dead or Alive, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Kojak, as well as films, Scrooged, Maverick, Deadpool, and X-Men, among many others.
