Designed by the firm, Kubota Architect Atelier, the YA House is in Japan’s Hyōgo Prefecture.
It’s positioned close to the peak of a mountain on a sloped site that has been cut out of the mountain’s side.
According to Archdaily.com, the goal of the home’s design was to “tie the blessings of the rich nature to daily lives.”
It features panoramic views of the surrounding greenery and mountains.
The rooftop deck sits above the master bedroom.
