It can be hard on parents when the kids grow up, move out, and are set on their way to create the pathways of their own lives. However, the silver lining is that this situation can make family time a little more special. Luckily for Connecticut-based designer, Leia T Ward, and her clients, her most recent “Gather” project encourages bringing the family back together.
For the “Gather” clients, the project highlights the importance of love. With the parents living across the pond in London, and children moved out and living in California and New York City, they sought out a perfect middle ground in Connecticut for the family to (you guessed it!) gather. As seen in newly released photos of the home, the designs feature sleek modern finishes with warm, inviting, neutral tones - a fine line which many attempt, but Ward succeeds masterfully. Complete with an expansive backyard pool and soft furnishings, the home makes a perfect place to come together for quality family time.
While much of interior design is focused on aesthetic, it would be worth nothing if it were not utilitarian and meaningful. Ward checks all this boxes with this latest project. What better inspiration behind your design than to unite people who love each other and wish to spend more time together?
