The Design Fairs Taking Over The South In November

The year may be coming to an end but the art scene is just getting started with Nashville Design Week and Austin Design Week taking over the South's art and design scene during the month of November. Whether it is an art gallery, workshop, conference chat or networking you are interested in, these two design fairs are sure to exceed all your expectations.

Nashville Design Week

When: November 8th - November 15th, 2018

Nashville is more than just country music. Coined the country's Music City, Nashville's eclectic music, art, fashion and dining scene make this the ultimate destination for aficionados of all sorts. This November, the city is hosting its annual Nashville Design Week featuring local artists Alex Lockwood of Elephant Gallery and Jessica Cheatham of Salt Ceramics. The highly anticipated event will kickoff Tuesday, November 6th, with an intimate conversation between Manuel Seitlin and Liz Pape of Elizabeth Suzann. The week-long event will seamlessly blend art and design with Nashville as its backdrop.

Austin Design Week

When: November 5th - November 9th, 2018

There's more to Austin than meets the eye. The city's 3rd annual Design Week aims to highlight Austin's vibrant scene and creative community through free workshops, talks, studio tours and events. The event will highlight the impact social media has had on the art community through its "Be-Hind Doors" Instagram installation, redesigning public spaces for a more inclusive, collaborative learning environment, the future of the design industry, as well as other trending industry topics. Come out to celebrate Austin's eclectic community at this year's Design Week honoring local talent.
