“Trump Island,” a 29.4-acre island in Washington state that has been listed for $8.75 million, Mansion Global reported.
Situated among 172 islands and reefs in San Juan County (in the northwest corner of the state), the extremely private island can only be reached by private boat or seaplane.
Only four islands in San Juan County––San Juan Island, Orcas Island, Lopez Island, and Shaw Island––can be reached by ferry.
It’s uncertain how or by whom the island was named, but listing agent Leigh Zwicker of Windermere Real Estate and Anacortes Properties confirmed that President Donald Trump does not own it. She says the name can easily be changed.
The 7,029-square-foot house on the island has six bedrooms, four full bathrooms and one half bathroom, three fireplaces, a theater, a pool room, a bar, a wine cellar, and a butler’s pantry.
Outside, there is a chicken coop, a boathouse, a greenhouse, a 1,200-square-foot caretaker’s cottage, a helipad, and a deep-water dock, near 5,000 feet of saltwater shoreline.
The house has its own water purification process, and during the summer when rainfall is low, saltwater from the sea is purified.
A pond supplies irrigation for property landscaping, and two generators power the electricity.
When the residence was built in 2000, there was no dock on the island, and a barge was used to bring in construction supplies.
