Daryl Hannah’s Whimsical Malibu Compound

Filmmaker and eco-enthusiast Daryl Hannah’s 17-acre pastoral enclave in Malibu is now on the market for $4.25 million.

Daryl Hannah

Perfect for nature-lovers and fairytale fans alike, the stone-and-timber property is surrounded by lush foliage and enjoys ample shade. Previously a plant nursery, the business was transformed into a residence in 1963 with vivid outcroppings of cactus, palm forests, fruit trees, and a babbling brook. Three quaint structures totaling three bedrooms and baths offer 2,190 square feet of living space, and sit beneath a canopy of leaves and winding branches. The first touts an open living area complete with a fireplace, a kitchen with a skylight, an art studio, and a full bath, while the second has a master suite with a kitchenette, another fireplace, stained glass doors and windows, and a walk-in closet and bath equipped with a Japanese soaking tub. The last unit holds a guest room with a 15-foot ceiling and enjoys Pacific Ocean views.

The darling compound—which wonderfully runs on solar power—also has numerous outdoor venues ideal for entertaining, including a patio of live moss under an oak canopy; a fenced-in vegetable garden; and ample land for horses or other livestock.

Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Ranch

Named after a prominent monolith situated on its grounds that has an uncanny resemblance to William Shakespeare, Shakespeare Ranch—which lies atop 133 acres of land—is one of the largest and most versatile properties along the perimeter of Lake Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe

Currently asking $98 million, the massive property is comprised of 17 complete guesthouses, public and private rodeo facilities outfitted with stables, and an enormous 1870s barn that the owners—billionaire philanthropists Larry and Camille Ruvo—brought in, revamped, and transformed into a 5,000-square-foot entertainment area. There’s also an outdoor spa, a root cellar converted into a wine tasting space, a full-equipped gym, an art loft, an executive office suite, a staging kitchen for catering, and guest baths. Presently the priciest ski property in the country, the ranch also features over 423 feet of shoreline, and a 397-foot shared pier with a boat lift.

Tampa Country Club Mansion Auction

The impressive estate of the first owner of the Tampa Bay Rays—Vince Naimoli—will be auctioned off on November 13th.

Tampa Rays Golf Club House

Situated within the Avila Golf and Country Club and previously listed for $9.9 million, the grand compound—which is sited on 10 acres at the edge of Lake Chapman—offers 15,000 square feet of living space. Its open floor plan is comprised of eight bedrooms, ten baths, a private guest wing, and six fireplaces. A one-bedroom pool house, pool, private dock, tennis court, and large motor court with a garage also sit on its grounds.

Chicago Beehive Penthouse

Chicago’s awesome Metropolitan Tower was the first building to reach the height of 30 floors. Topped with a 20-foot glass “beehive” of blue glass filled with six 1,000-watt lightbulbs, and the 26th and 27th floors of the standout structure—owned by businessman Michael Polsky—are now on up for grabs.

Beehive Condo

The enviable property—located high above the heart of cultural downtown Chicago—also offers its new owner the chance to employee his own architect or interior designer, or utilize the plans already drawn up by George Larson of Larson Associates, which covers the entire 26th floor and includes the grand foyer, living and entertaining space, private entrance lobby, gallery with library, coat and powder rooms, a generous living room punctuated by a glass staircase, and a dining room, kitchen, garden room, and four bathrooms. Buyers may purchase the 26th floor alone for $2.3 million, or the entire two-story residence for $3.3 million.

Tennessee’s Bella Rosa Mansion

Almost purchased by Johnny Depp back in 2012 for his fiancée Amber Heard, this mega mansion—currently listed for $13.5 million—is tucked within the charming, historic town of Franklin, Tennessee, a quaint residential locale popular among celebrities for its privacy and tranquility.

Tennessee's Bella Rosa Mansion

Commissioned in 2001 by FirstBank Middle Tennessee on over 22 acres, the 19,000-square-foot mansion touts four bedrooms, nine baths, vaulted 24-foot ceilings, stone columns, and a wall-paneled library. The residence’s wooden floors are inlaid with marble, floor-to-ceiling windows, a hidden elevator, and a hand-carved Macodenian marble fireplace. Managed with a Creston system, the grand dwelling also houses a screening room and a temperature-controlled wine cellar equipped with a built-in humidor, and boasts walls paneled with onyx.
