Toyo Ito Honored At The 2012 Venice Architecture BIennale

Toyo Ito, the Japanese architect known for creating conceptual architecture,  was recognized last week at the 13th International Architecture Exhibition of la Biennale di Venezia.

The exhibition kicked off with with the Awards Ceremony in the Giadini, and Golden Lions for the Best National Participation Award was presented to Ito, the representative of the Japanese Pavilion.

The mission of the exhibition is to showcase architectural culture, which is comprised of a rich continuity of diverse ideas united in common history, ambitions, predicaments and ideals.
