In a city renowned for its breathtaking skyline and unparalleled luxury, a new chapter is being written in Miami’s architectural and lifestyle evolution. Last week, the official groundbreaking of Villa Miami—a 650-foot copper-clad tower poised to become East Edgewater’s crown jewel—marked a pivotal moment for the city’s luxury condominium market. A collaborative effort by Terra, One Thousand Group, and hospitality powerhouse Major Food Group, Villa Miami introduces an exclusive collection of just 70 half- and full-floor residences, setting a new benchmark for design, service, and culinary excellence.
David Martin, CEO of Terra, encapsulated the project's ethos: “Villa Miami merges world-class design, culinary excellence, and the finest living standards. With just 70 residences, we’re embracing a low-density approach that enhances exclusivity and privacy, offering homes in the sky with social spaces that feel like natural extensions of personal living areas.”
Slated for completion in late 2027, the development is being constructed by Moss Construction, the award-winning firm behind landmark projects like Five Park Miami Beach. Villa Miami’s initial seawall work began in September, signaling the start of a transformation that promises to elevate East Edgewater to new heights.
This isn’t just another luxury high-rise—it’s a cultural and architectural statement. Villa Miami is the first-ever residential project by Major Food Group (MFG), the culinary visionaries behind iconic destinations such as Carbone and Dirty French. MFG’s co-founder, Jeff Zalaznick, highlighted the deeply personal nature of the project, emphasizing, “Every detail, from the amenities to the smallest finishes, reflects our passion and precision. This is more than a building—it’s a celebration of MFG’s commitment to quality and creativity.”
The tower’s amenities embody MFG’s signature style of opulent hospitality. At its core is The Copper Club, a resident-only private club spanning three levels, offering everything from private dining rooms and lounges to a screening room, wellness facilities, and a rooftop helipad. Adding to the allure is a new waterfront MFG restaurant on the ground floor, where residents will enjoy priority seating, merging the best of dining and luxury living.
Architecturally, Villa Miami promises to be an iconic addition to Miami’s skyline. Designed by ODP Architects, the 56-story masterpiece boasts panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and Miami Beach, connecting residents to the city’s vibrant cultural hubs like Wynwood and the Design District while offering serene bayfront living.
"We’re thrilled to break ground on Villa Miami with an extraordinary team of designers, architects, builders and partners,” said Kevin Venger of One Thousand Group. “Working with Vicky Charles and Kurt Dannwolf at One Thousand Museum, redefined Miami’s ultra-luxury condo landscape and architectural skyline. Now, we’re excited to collaborate with both of them to create another landmark that will elevate the Edgewater neighborhood and Biscayne Bay.”

The interiors, curated by celebrated designer Vicky Charles of Charles & Co., mark her Miami debut. Known for her work with A-list celebrities and bespoke estates, Charles drew inspiration from mid-century Italian villas, Miami’s dynamic energy, and the flow of the bay itself. The result? Interiors that feature warm woods, curving furniture, and ambient lighting, creating a harmonious blend of sophistication and comfort.
Villa Miami is a testament to the collaborative power of legacy developers and visionaries. Terra, One Thousand Group, and MFG have crafted a project that not only redefines luxury but also reshapes the identity of East Edgewater. For Miami, this isn’t just a new building—it’s a landmark moment, a fusion of architectural ambition, culinary excellence, and unparalleled living standards that solidify the city’s position as a global epicenter of luxury and innovation.
