In the spirit of the holiday season, Manhattan Beach is bustling with shoppers in the charming downtown area, while locals toast with holiday cheer and nosh on delightful fare from a variety of upscale eateries the town is brimming with. This lively community is home to fun events for the whole family from the famous Holiday Fireworks Show, to the Pier Tree Lighting Ceremony, and kids can even get a glimpse of Santa Claus who rides his magic sleigh through the streets each night leading up to Christmas.

After the holidays, the pop-up snow park melts and the twinkling lights come down. That is when Manhattan Beach locals kick their travel schedules into high-gear with ease. Being a great spot for ‘staycation’ or ‘vacation’, Manhattan Beach proves a near-perfect location for both the jet setter and the homebody.

One can ski and surf on the same day if they so determine from this SoCal hot spot thanks to being just minutes from LAX International Airport. For winter-sports lovers, one can be in Lake Tahoe in just 75 minutes, or an easy drive to Mammoth Ski Resort in 4-5 hours. Unique to many other cities, Manhattan Beach Unified School District gives their students a full week-long vacation in February dedicated to skiing, known as Ski Week, and the locals take full advantage.

For those preferring a staycation, the sandy beach is right in the backyard and the city offers endless options for camps to keep kids fit and busy from surf lessons and volleyball to marine learning camps at the aquarium. Likewise, visiting great places like Disneyland, and Universal Studio are close enough to drop in any day during the break.

Those keeping it local can enjoy the festive village-like atmosphere in downtown Manhattan Beach. Beach-chic boutiques, cheese & wine specialty stores, cocktail bars and famous restaurants all blend happily together with a vibrant permanent-vacation ambiance.

We love our unique beach town and helping clients find the perfect home or vacation property to fit their lifestyle in this amazing area. We are proud to serve the community in this capacity for over 30 years and look forward to building many more successful relationships in the future.
