One of the most desirable cities in all of Florida, Key Biscayne is a tropical island paradise with many unique traditions and establishments. If you’ve yet to experience the holidays in Key Biscayne, you’re in for a treat.

Thanksgiving marks the unofficial start to the holiday season full of food, shopping, and family bonding. It’s a wonderful time to reflect on your year and think about your many blessings. In Key Biscayne, one of those blessings is the incredible weather. Our Fall is a beautiful 70 degrees, which is still perfect for enjoying outdoor activities.

Thanksgiving Holiday Shopping In Key Biscayne

This cute urban community encourages residents to “buy local” from small island shops and merchants. The local favorite is the huge Georgia pecans sold by the Key Biscayne Women's Club for charity. You can find these at Towers Glamour Salon or from any club members directly. It’s a festive local holiday tradition.

Another great tradition is the Thanksgiving Seagrass Adventure at the Biscayne Nature Center. Getting an education on local sea life is all part of the fun of living on the island. In fact, a lot of the autumn holiday fun takes place outside due to our beautiful surroundings and great crisp fall weather.

Finally, the Ritz-Carlton of Key Biscayne, Miami has a huge event that is perfect for families. Not only is there a perfectly cooked Thanksgiving feast, but you can also enjoy music, activities for kids and lots of other fun holiday-themed surprises each year. It’s an event that can’t be missed and if you’re a resident who hasn’t tried it yet, don’t let this year’s pass you by.
